Cagayan town placed under state of calamity

ALLACAPAN, Cagayan: The town council has unanimously approved the declaration of state of calamity in Allacapan town in Cagayan due to the heavy damage to farms and infrastructure brought by Tropical Depression “Maymay” on Thursday, October 13.

In Resolution 3, the town councilors noted that 1,025 families or 3,849 people in 21 villages were affected by the floods.

Forty-four families or 147 people fled to the evacuation centers but others opted to stay with their relatives.
