Govt contractor killed in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Motorcycle gunmen killed a government contractor and wounded his companion in an ambush on a village in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.

Police said the attack which occurred Thursday evening in the village of Divisoria killed 49-year old Alvin Perez, a former policeman, and wounded his companion, Danny Belleza.

Perez was driving his car when four gunmen on two motorcycles tailing him opened fire with automatic weapons and pistols. A third passenger, Reggie Bartolome, was unscathed from the ambush.
