LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: The municipal council is studying the best option to adopt in the proposed relocation of the chicken dung trade here.

Vice Mayor Roderick Awingan said the issue has been referred to the committee on laws which is expected to render a report anytime.

He said the Shilan Chicken Dung Truckers and Traders Association is seeking reconsideration of the decision of the local government to remove the chicken dung trade in the municipality.

The council has to consider, however, the separate opposing petitions from a group of residents and the Barangay Council. The Barangay Council leaders support the continuation of the dung trade business.
