ZAMBOANGA CITY: Nearly P500 million worth of smuggled cigarettes had been seized by authorities the past 10 months in Zamboanga Peninsula and the Muslim provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
The Bureau of Customs (BoC) in Zamboanga City said P449.713 million worth of assorted cigarettes were confiscated in various anti-smuggling operations in collaboration with security forces in the region.
